Voice communications have undoubtedly become an integral part of most businesses, and VoIP technology has evolved considerably since it was first launched in the market in the 1980s. However, somewhere down-the-line the term “VoIP” began to be associated with poor voice quality and unreliable low cost providers. While this may not be the case with VoIP solutions across the board, the overall perception has encouraged some major players to disassociate themselves from the term, including Skype.
